Information:

1. Loosen bolts (1) and remove the fan belts from the pulley on the transmission oil and scavenge pump. 2. Remove pulley (2) from the transmission oil and scavenge pump. Remove the bolts that hold plate (3) to the radiator and move it to the side. 3. Remove four oil tubes (4) from the transmission oil and scavenge pump. 4. Fasten tooling (A) to plate (5) as shown. 5. Fasten a strap to the transmission oil and scavenge pump and to tooling (A).6. Remove bolts (6) that hold the pump in position on the transmission.7. Remove transmission oil and scavenge pump (7) from the transmission and lower it to the floor with tooling (A). The weight of the transmission oil and scavenge pump is approximately 72 lb. (33 kg).Install Transmission Oil And Scavenge Pump
1. Install tooling (A) to plate (1) as shown. 2. Put the transmission oil and scavenge pump in position under the machine. Fasten a strap to the pump and to tooling (A). Install the gasket and transmission oil and scavenge pump (2) on the transmission. 3. Make sure the O-ring seals are in position on both ends of oil tubes (3). Install the oil tubes. 4. Make sure the O-ring seal is between the pulley and the transmission oil and scavenge pump is in position. Install pulley (4) on the pump.5. Put plate (5) in position on the radiator and install the bolts that hold it in place. 6. Put fan bolts (6) in position on the alternator and on the pulley on the transmission oil and scavenge pump.7. See MAINTENANCE GUIDE for the correct adjustment to fan belts (6).Disassemble Transmission Oil And Scavenge Pump
START BY:a) remove transmission oil and scavenge pump 1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the pump.2. Remove bolts (2) and cage (1) from the manifold assembly. 3. Remove retaining ring (4) from coupling. Remove O-ring seal (3) from cage. 4. Remove coupling (5) from cage (1) with tooling (A) and a press. 5. Turn the cage over on the opposite side and remove the bearing from the cage with tool (A) and a press. 6. Remove the lip type seal from cage with tooling (A). 7. Put identification on each section of the pump assembly for assembly purposes. Bolts (7) are 4 in. (101.6 mm) in length and bolts (8) are 3 3/4 in. (95.25 mm) in length.8. Remove bolts (7) and (8) and manifold assembly (6) from the pump group. 9. Remove O-ring seal (10) and two bearings (9) from manifold with tooling (A). 10. Remove body assembly (12) from the pump group.11. If necessary, remove four dowels (11) from body. 12. Remove cover assembly (13) and the four gears from the manifold assembly as a unit. 13. Remove gears (15) and (17) from the two gear assemblies. Gear (15) is held in position by a key on gear assembly (16). Remove the O-ring seals (14) from each side of cover assembly. 14. Remove key (18) from gear assembly
