Do not use the machine without the upper conveyor support cables installed. Never use the upper conveyor as a lifting device. The conveyors are not intended to support a suspended load.
Before starting to use the machine, check the condition of the upper conveyor support cables and make sure that the cables are securely installed.

Clean the upper conveyor support cables (1) and the upper conveyor hoisting cables (2) using compressed air and a dry cloth.
Check the condition and integrity of the cables. If you find any broken strands, change the cables immediately.
The support cables (1) and hoisting cables (2) must be replaced as a set when required. Note: Do not operate the machine if you find any broken strands on the cables. Repair the problem before you operate the machine. Consult your Cat dealer to perform this procedure.
