Stop valves or high-pressure oil delivery to the work tool
Remove the flange cover from the block on each side of the stick and Install tooling (D) with the flow meter tool layout. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 3.Note: Make sure that "A-side" of the work tool is connected to the "A-side" on the right side of the stick.
Remove tooling (F) and install the filler plug for the hydraulic tank.Temporary Setting of the Main Relief Valve

Loosen locknut (6) on load sensing signal limiter valve (2).
Turn the adjustment screw (5) of load sensing signal limiter valve (2) clockwise by one half turn.
Tighten locknut (6) on load sensing signal limiter valve (2).
Remove the cap from main relief valve (1).
Loosen the locknut on main relief valve (1).
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise on main relief valve (1) by one quarter turn.
Tighten the locknut on main relief valve (1).
Install the cap onto main relief valve (1).Test Procedure
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.

Push down on the power mode control button in order to activate power mode.Note: The indicator light will be illuminated when power mode is activated.

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) as displayed on the programmable function key in the monitor.
Disable the automatic engine speed control through the monitor by pressing the programmable button.

Select the hydraulic modulation mode as medium. Press the lower front switch on the left joystick to select the hydraulic modulation mode.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test.

Joystick (thumb slider)
For flow "A⇒B", move the thumb slider on the left joystick to the maximum left position. For flow "B⇒A", move the thumb slider on the left joystick to the maximum right position.
Read the flow on the portable hydraulic tester.Note: In order to check the maximum flow, turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise against the stop on the stroke limiter that is being tested. Refer to Table 1 in this manual for the correct flow.
If the flow is not within specification, then proceed to the "Adjust Procedure".Adjust Procedure
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Raise the left console.
