Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Position piston motor (23) into the bracket. Secure the piston motor with bolts (22) .

Install adapter (21) onto the piston motor.

Install nut (20) , fan blade (19) , and bolts (18) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to the piston motor and fan assembly (17) . The weight of the piston motor and fan assembly (17) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Position the piston motor and fan assembly (17) . Install bolts (16) .

Install hose assemblies (15) .

Install upper fan guard (14) and bolts (13) .

Install tube assemblies (10) and (9) . Install bolts (12) and (11) .

Slide the hoses from tube assemblies (10) and (9) into position. Install hose clamps (8) .

Install strap (7) and bolts (6) .

Install brace (5) and bolts (4) .

Install plates (1) , (2) , and (3) . Install the bolts.
