Remove the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR4838, "Hydraulic Tank - Remove".
Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR4838, "Gear Pump - Remove and Install".Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (B) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.Note: Put identification marks on all lines for installation purposes. Plug all lines and cap all fittings. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (2). Loosen clamp (4). Disconnect hose (3) .

Use a suitable lifting device to support piston pump (5) .

Use Tooling (A) to remove bolt (6) .
Repeat Step 4 for the other side.
Remove piston pump (5). The weight of the piston pump is approximately 61 kg (134 lb).
