30. Remove five bearings (63) from lever assembly (58) with tooling (A). 31. Remove cotter pin (66), pin (64) and links (65) from the lever assembly.32. Bend the lock down and remove bolts (68) and nuts that hold spring (67). Remove spring (67). 33. Remove socket (69) from lever assembly (70). 34. Remove bolt (71), washer, support and wedge (72) from lever assembly (70).35. Remove screw (73) from lever assembly (70). 36. Remove the three bearings from lever assembly (70) with tooling (A).Assemble Brake Hydraulic Controls And Actuating Mechanisms
Make sure all the parts of the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanisms are clean. Put clean oil on all pins, bearings, links and levers during assembly. 1. Install the three bearings in lever assembly (1) with tooling (A). Install the bearings until they are even with the outside machined surfaces on the lever assembly. 2. Install screw (2) in lever assembly (1). Install wedge (3) and support (4) in lever assembly (1). Install bolt (5) and washer that hold them in place. 3. Install socket (6) over the screw. 4. Put spring (9) in place over socket (6). Install bolts (10), locks and nuts that hold the spring in place.5. Install links (7) and pin (8) in lever assembly (1). Install the cotter pin that holds the links and pin in place. 6. Install the five bearings in lever assembly (11) with tooling (A). Install the smallest diameter bearing until it is .030 in. (0.76 mm) below the outside surface of the lever assembly. Install the other four bearings even with the outside surfaces of the lever assembly. 7. Put strut (13) in position on lever assembly (11) and install pin (15) and ring (17) that hold it in place. Make sure the mark "TOP" on the strut is up after the lever assembly is installed in
