Information:

start by:a) remove torque converter Engine is removed for better illustration. 1. Put tool (A) in position on the flywheel.2. Remove bolts (1) that hold the flywheel in position. Remove the flywheel assembly. Weight is 200 lb. (90.7 kg). Use the drive pinion (not shown) to hold the flywheel in position to remove bolts (1).3. If the ring gear is damaged, remove the ring gear from the flywheel.Install Flywheel
1. If the ring gear was removed, heat the new ring to a maximum temperature of 600°F (315° C). Install the ring gear on the flywheel.
The ring gear must be installed with the chamfer toward the engine side of the flywheel.
2. Use tool (A) and a hoist to put the flywheel assembly in position. Install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 640 80 lb.ft. (867.7 108.5 N m). Use the drive pinion (not shown) to hold the flywheel in position to tighten the bolts.end by:a) install torque converter
