A new torque procedure is adaptable to machines: (S/N: B9K1-UP)The new torque procedure is as followed:
Side of Engine: Use pipe sealant on threads and torque to 60 N m (44 lb ft) with a 1-1/8 torque wrench. Also use a 1-1/8 backup wrench for the preassemble bushing.
Water Housing (Aluminum): Use pipe sealant on threads and torque to 35 5 N m (26 4lb ft) with 1-1/8 torque wrench.
8F-8151 Shutoff Valve : Use pipe sealant on the threads and torque to 40 6 N m (30 4 lb ft) with a 13/16 torque wrench. Also use 1-1/8 backup wrench for the preassemble bushing.
Assemble one valve to each preassemble bushing using a backup wrench to the bushing. Note: While looking at the top of the shut off, point the valve to a 7 o'clock position.
Torque the 9X-2488 Hose Clamp to 7.5 1 N m (6 1lb ft) with a 8MM torque wrench.
