Recommend use of Future Dated Orders to ensure ready availability
For compactor wheels not stocked in Morton, Reman has a plan to provide material within about 30 days of receiving a customer order. Returned cores will be remanufactured back to a smooth wheel and then tips welded on after an order is received. Some of the wheels will be stocked in the distribution system so won?t require the minimum 30 day lead. Even then, we would still encourage the use of placing Future Dated Orders. This will allow us to position the inventory where it is needed in the most efficient manner possible and maximize availability at the lowest cost, cost savings that can translate to a lower price for you.

Core Acceptance
SELD0314 Compactor Wheels has been through several revisions to clarify important points about what cores are and are not acceptable. Please always refer to the most current version at catreman.cat.com/core to view the latest requirements. The acceptability inspection for these remains a simple visual inspection based on the following guidelines:
An important clarification has been added to Revision -03 of the Core Acceptance Criteria (CAC). Revision -02 added Figures 5 and Figures 6 explaining where the mounting flange would be located for acceptable wheels. This was in error as the mounting flange location varies between the 826 and the 836 wheel. A center mounted flange is acceptable for an 826 compactor wheel core as now noted in the current -03 CAC.
Another important change relates to competitive wheels in that we have found that certain Caron wheels are also acceptable for full core refund. More specifics and clarifying photos are available in the CAC.
Note: The condition or existence of the GET tips does not impact the assessment of the core for core credit. The cleanliness requirement is to avoid transporting waste material to our manufacturing facility. For more detailed information, please refer to the actual core acceptance criteria.
