(3) Fill LocationGrease reservoir (1) is at top of upper frame. Access the maintenance platform through the second cab to access the grease reservoir.
Electrocution Hazard! Access to the machine maintenance platform while the machine is on rails is prohibited. Severe personal injury or death can result from approaching electrified overhead lines while on railway tracks. Keep any personnel a safe distance from electrical power lines. Stay clear 3 m (10 ft) plus twice the line insulator length. Read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to follow the instructions and warnings may cause death.
Filling the Reservoir
Remove the dust cap (2) from the grease reservoir (1).
Clean the filler assembly (3) and the coupling on the filler assembly.
Install the filler assembly onto the filler tube assembly (3).
Fill the grease reservoir (1) with grease to the maximum level which is indicated on the grease reservoir (1).Reference: For the correct type of grease, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities".
Remove the filler assembly and install the dust cap (2).
