Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Open drain valve (6) and drain the fuel into a suitable container.
Disconnect liquid level sensor (7).
Use Tooling (A) to remove primary fuel filter (4) and water separator (5).
Disconnect hose assemblies (3).
Remove bolts (2) and fuel filter base assembly (1).Installation Procedure
Install primary fuel filter (4), water separator (5), and fuel filter base assembly (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 44 N m (32 lb ft).
