Remove retaining ring (12) . Remove washers (13) and (14) . Remove the half shaft (15) .
Repeat steps 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 for the opposite end.

Use Tooling (B) to remove adjuster rings (18) and (20) . Remove differential (19 ) .Note: The adjuster rings are not reusable. Discard the adjuster rings.

Use Tooling (c) to remove ring nut (21) . Remove washer (22) .Note: The ring nut is not reusable. Discard the ring nut.

Remove pinion gear (23) . Remove washer (24) , crush spacer (25) , and washer (26) . Use Tooling (D) to remove bearing cone (27) . Remove bearing cup (28) . Remove shims (29) . Remove bearing cone (30) and bearing cup (31) .Note: The crush spacer is not reusable. Discard the crush spacer.

If necessary, use Tooling (E) and a suitable press to remove bevel gear (36) .Note: Do not remove bevel gear (36) unless necessary. Damage to the differential housing can occur and must be replaced.
