The new piston body assembly produces a higher compression ratio than the standard piston body assembly. The higher compression ratio will help reduce duration of white smoke from the exhaust during cold weather starts. Cold weather starting aids such as jacket water heaters, fuel heaters, cetane improvers, and ether starting aids are also recommended for minimizing white smoke during cold weather starts and during the warm up period.Adaptable To: The new 4P8132 Piston Body Assembly can be used as a direct replacement for the standard 1W6757 Piston Body Assembly when all the engines pistons are replaced together. The new 4P8132 Piston Body Assembly uses a 9S3029 Top Ring, 5S6750 Intermediate Ring, and 7E6047 Oil Ring.
