The problem identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
481-3250 Regulator and 488-1602 Regulator may fail before its expected life when lowering the window completely.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an Interim Repair has not been defined. In the event of failure, replace with the same 481-3250 Regulator and 488-1602 Regulator.

(A) 25.4 mm (1.00 inch)Do not lower the window beyond point where it is lower than the horizontal window seals. The top 25.4 mm (1.00 inch) of the window should be visible.Note: At least (A) 25.4 mm (1.00 inch) must remain visible when lowering the window down to prevent window regulator failures.If failures occur look for debris and loose hardware within the window assembly.Return any failed parts and provide pictures of the failed part. Pictures should include close up and wide view of failure. Provide feedback to the CPI team 382593 using the "CPI Feedback" link in SIMSi within the "CPI Report" tab.
