Parking/Secondary Brake
Do not apply the parking/secondary brake while the machine is moving unless an emergency exists. The use of the parking/secondary as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the parking/secondary brake system.
Parking/Secondary Brake - The parking/secondary brake is located on the steering column. Parking/Secondary Brake Engaged - Pull up on the knob to engage the brake. Parking/Secondary Brake Disengaged - Push down on the knob to release the brake.Brake Pedals
Left Brake Pedal - The left brake pedal disengages the transmission and brakes the machine. This permits higher engine speed for better hydraulic response.Depress the left brake pedal when positioning and operating the dozer blade at the same time.Release the pedal to re-engage the transmission and to release the brake. Right Brake Pedal - The right brake pedal slows down the machine ground speed for normal braking.Depress the right brake pedal for normal machine braking.Release the pedal to release the brake.Accelerator Pedal
Depress the pedal to increase engine speed.Release the pedal to decrease engine speed.Governor Control - (If Equipped)
Accelerator Pedal (1) - If the governor hand control is not used, depress the pedal to increase engine speed. Release the pedal to decrease engine speed. Governor Hand Control (2) - Push the button down on top of the control. Raise the control to increase rpm (engine speed). Lower the control to decrease the rpm and return to low idle. Release the button at the desired rpm.Turn the control knob (clockwise) to decrease rpm, and (counterclockwise) to increase rpm. This method can be used for varying the rpm slightly. Decelerator Pedal (3) - When the pedal is pushed down, it lifts the accelerator pedal and decreases the rpm to low idle. When the pedal is released, the engine speed will return to the speed set by the governor hand control.Transmission Direction and Speed Control
Direction Selector
Forward (1) - Push the transmission control lever forward. The machine will move forward. Neutral (2) - The machine should not move when the transmission control lever is in NEUTRAL. Reverse (3) - Pull the transmission control lever toward the operator. The machine will move in reverse.Speed Selector
Rotate the transmission control lever to the desired gear speed: 1 First Speed2 Second Speed3 Third Speed4 Fourth SpeedTransmission Neutral Lock
Locked (pushed in) - The transmission control lever is locked in NEUTRAL. Unlocked (pulled out) - The transmission control lever is unlocked from neutral and can be moved to the FORWARD or REVERSE position.Steering Wheel
The directional steering, of the machine, is controlled by the steering wheel. The direction the steering wheel is turned, is the direction that the machine will turn. The steering frame lock link must be removed and secured in the stored position to steer the machine. Left Turn - Move the steering wheel in a counterclockwise direction to steer
