Information:
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine or release of air pressure or oil pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To help prevent possible injury before testing and adjusting any air system or hydraulic system, perform the procedure in the Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" section.

View of the Left Turn Frame Stops (3) Stop for the non-engine end frame. (4) Stop for the engine end frame.Note: For this procedure, the machine should be located on a dry, hard surface that is level. The steering neutralizer valves prevent the engine end frame from striking the non-engine end frame. To initially set the distance of striker (1), perform the following procedure:
Adjust left striker (1) in order to allow a 100 mm (4 inch) gap between left turn frame stops (3) and (4) .
Repeat this procedure for the right striker. To check the adjustment of right and left strikers (1), perform the following procedure:
Put a 25 mm (1.0 inch) ball of putty onto both of stops (3) that are for the non-engine end frame.

Lift Linkage (5) "A" pin. (6) "B" pin.
Raise the bucket. The "B" pin should be approximately the same height as the "A" pin. Release the brakes.
Run the engine at high idle. Steer the machine rapidly to the full right and to the full left. This will cause strikers (1) to contact neutralizer valves (2) .
After the turns, measure the thickness of the putty that is on each of the stops for the non-engine end frame. With a full bucket, the minimum thickness of the putty should be approximately 3 to 5 mm (.1 to .3 inch). This is the clearance between stops (3) for the non-engine end frame and stops (4) for the engine end frame when a complete turn is made.
If the dimension is not correct, adjust the strikers until the dimension is correct.
