Attach Tooling (B) to ring gear (7) , as shown.
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to install ring gear (7) to the reaction hub. The weight of ring gear (7) is approximately 107 kg (235 lb).

Install retainers (6) and bolts (5) to ring gear (7) .
Install a new O-ring seal to the outside diameter of the final drive planetary carrier.

Install Tooling (D) into wheel assembly (2) , as shown.
Attach Tooling (A) to final drive planetary carrier (4) .
Use the suitable lifting device in order to install the axle shaft with the sun gear in the final drive planetary carrier, as shown.Note: The axle shaft is used to hold the final drive planetary carrier level during the installation into the ring gear.
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to position final drive planetary carrier (4) onto Tooling (D) . The weight of final drive planetary carrier (4) is 284 kg (625 lb).
Carefully slide final drive planetary carrier (4) into the ring gear.
Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove the axle shaft from the final drive planetary carrier.
Remove Tooling (D) .

Install bolts (1) . Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 400 60 N m (295 45 lb ft). Rotate bolts (1) for an additional 120 10 degrees (1/3 turn).
Install drain plug (3) into the final drive planetary carrier.
Remove Tooling (A) .End By: Install the axle shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Axle Shaft - Install".
