TUBE AS 2295798 - Caterpillar

1. Position tooling (A) under drawbar as shown. Remove spacer, washer and bolt (2). Remove pin (1). 2. Fasten a lifting sling and hoist to drawbar (3). Remove four bolts (4) and washer. Remove two draw pins (5). Slide the drawbar forward, and remove plate (6) and wear plate (7). 3. Reposition the lifting sling on drawbar (3). Slide the drawbar forward until it clears support assembly (8). Lower the drawbar onto the jack. Pull the drawbar and jack back and remove the drawbar. The weight of the drawbar is 136 Kg (300 lbs.).4. Remove two bolts (9) and install two 7/8" - 9 NC guide bolts. 5. Use a lift truck for support and remove remaining bolts (9). Remove support assembly (8). The weight of the support assembly is 372 Kg (820 lbs.). The following steps are for installation of the drawbar and support assembly. 6. Install two 7/8" - 9 NC guide bolts as shown. Use a lift truck to position support assembly (8) and install bolts (9). Remove the two guide bolts and install two bolts (9). 7. Place the drawbar on the jack. Install the front of drawbar through the case. Attach a nylon strap and hoist to drawbar (3). Raise and position the drawbar over support assembly (8). 8. Install plate (6) and wear plate (7). Remove the hoist and nylon strap, and install two pins (5) thru drawbar (3). Install four bolts (4) and washer. 9. Position tooling (A) under the drawbar. Install the spacer washer, bolt (2) and pin (1). Remove tooling (A).
