Make sure the machine is on level ground. Stop the engine, and move the control lever to make sure the weight of the bulldozer blade is on the ground. Move the control lever backward and forward to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
1. Remove the guards, and put identification marks on the two hose assemblies.2. Disconnect the two hose assemblies.3. Use two straps, and attach a hoist to the tilt cylinder. The weight of tilt cylinder (2) is 125 kg (275 lb.).4. Remove the rear pin retainer, and remove the pin from tilt cylinder (2) and the bulldozer push arm.5. Remove four nuts (1), cap (4), and shims (3) from the trunnion. Use the hoist, and remove the tilt cylinder. Install the shims and cap (4) onto the cylinder so the shims are in the correct location at installation. The following steps are for installation of the tilt cylinder.6. Use a hoist, and put the tilt cylinder in position. Align the holes in the cylinder with the bore in the bulldozer push arm. Install the pin and the retainer.7. Make sure the O-ring seals are in position, and connect the two hose assemblies to the tilt cylinder.8. Align the rod assembly with the trunnion, and extend the cylinder. Put shims (3) and cap (4) in position, and install the four bolts, washers and nuts (1). Use only enough shims to obtain a clearance of 0.50 0.25 mm (.020 .010 in.) between the rod and the trunnion.9. Install the guards onto the tilt cylinder.
