Personal injury or death can result from sudden suspension cylinder movement.Sudden movement, up or down, can cause the clearance above your head to change rapidly.Read all warning labels on the suspension cylinders before servicing. Do not check the oil in the suspension cylinder until all the nitrogen pressure has been released.Do not, under any condition, remove valves, cover or plugs from the cylinder unless the rod is fully retracted and all the nitrogen pressure is released.Do not stand under the machine when testing or adjusting the suspension cylinders.
Improper operation, lubrication, maintenance or repair of this product can be dangerous and could result in injury or death.Do not operate or perform any lubrication, maintenance or repair on this product, until you have read and understood the operation, lubrication, maintenance and repair information.
The following additions to the maintenance interval in the Operation and Maintenance Manual should be followed in order to increase the service life of the suspension cylinders.Note: This article will be referenced when the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the applicable machines are revised.Daily
Visually inspect the front and rear suspension cylinders for leaking oil. If leaking oil is present, remove the cylinder and repair the leak. Repair the cylinder or replace the cylinder as soon as possible.

Suspension cylinder (1) Relief valve (2) Plug (3) FittingVisually inspect the front and rear suspension cylinders for any unusual conditions that might affect the operation of the cylinder or the ride of the truck. The following conditions can affect performance:
collapsed cylinder
excessive rod extension
damage to the chrome on the cylinder rodGrease that is forced into the cavity that is inside of the cylinder at Location (A) will limit the travel of the cylinder rod. If the travel of the cylinder rod is limited, the ride of the truck can become rough. If reduced travel of the cylinder rod is found, repair the cylinder or replace the cylinder as soon as possible.Note: Do not attempt to remove the relief valves (1), plug (2), or fitting (3) when there is pressure in the cylinder.Every 500 Hours
Measure the ride height and record the dimensions. Refer to the information in Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Suspension Cylinder - Check" for your machine. Compare these measurements with the measurements that were taken in the previous service interval.If the measurement is not within the limits that are specified in the Operation and Maintenance Manual, do not operate the truck until the necessary repairs to the suspension cylinder have been completed. If the suspension cylinder cannot be repaired, replace the cylinder.Every Year
Purge the nitrogen charge from the suspension cylinders. Refer to the procedure to purge suspension cylinders in Special Instruction, SEHS9411.Replace the relief valves on the front suspension cylinder and make sure that all the grease ports are clear. Recharge the suspension cylinders with nitrogen charge. Refer to the procedure to recharge the suspension cylinders in Special Instruction, SEHS9411.
