Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the crankcase guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation.Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.

Attach a suitable lifting device to each end of rear striker bar (1) in order to support rear striker bar (1). The weight of rear striker bar (1) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).

Remove bolts (2) and the washers from striker bar (1) .

Remove rear striker bar (1) from the machine. Note: Use the following procedure for the removal of the front striker bar from both sides of the machine.

Attach a suitable lifting device to front striker bar (3) in order to support front striker bar (3). The weight of front striker bar (3) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).

Remove bolts (4) and the washers from striker bar (3) .
