Installation procedure
Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation.Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.
Note: Use the following procedure for the installation of the front striker bar on both sides of the machine.

Attach a suitable lifting device to front striker bar (3). The weight of front striker bar (3) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Install front striker bar (3) to the machine.

Install bolts (4) and the washers to front striker bar (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to each end of rear striker bar (1). The weight of rear striker bar (1) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb). Install rear striker bar (1) to the machine.

Install bolts (2) and the washers to rear striker bar (1) .End By: Install the crankcase guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
