1. Slide the tube and track adjuster forward until a hoist can be fastened. Fasten a hoist and remove the tube (1) and track adjuster. Weight is 180 lb. (82 kg).2. Fasten a hoist and intall the tube and track adjuster on the track roller frame. Slide the track adjuster and tube into the cover on the recoil spring.end by: a) install front idlersDisassemble Hydraulic Track Adjusters
start by: a) remove hydraulic track adjusters 1. Remove the tube (1) from the cylinder. Weight is 85 lb. (39 kg).2. Remove the ring (2) from the tube. 3. Remove the piston (3) from the cylinder.4. Remove the relief valve (4) and the filler valve (5) from the cylinder.5. Remove the ring (6) and O-ring seal (7) from the flange of the cylinder.6. Remove the end, spring and ball from filler valve (5). 7. Remove the rings (8) from the piston.8. Remove the snap ring (10) and seal (9) from the piston.Assemble Hydraulic Track Adjusters
1. Install seal (1) and snap ring (2) on the piston. The lip of the seal must be toward the snap ring.2. Install the two rings (3) on the piston. The ring openings must be 180° apart. 3. Install ball (5), spring (7) and end (8) in filler valve (6). The small end of the spring must be toward the ball when installed.4. Install the washer on relief valve (4) and filler valve (6).5. Install the relief valve (4) and filler valve (6) in the cylinder as shown. Tighten both valves to a torque of 25 5 lb.ft. (33.9 6.8 N m). 6. Install piston (9) in the cylinder with the end of the piston that has the seal toward the flange of the cylinder.7. Install the ring (11) and seal (10) in the flange of the cylinder. The taper on the ring must be toward the inside of groove when installed. 8. Install the ring on tube (12). Install the tube in the cylinder as shown.end by: a) install hydraulic track adjusters
