1. Park the machine on level ground.2. Lower the boom to the ground. 3. Block wheels and engage the parking brake. The service brakes will be inoperative. Read and follow all safety precautions listed in the appropriate Operation and Maintenance Manual.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.
4. Remove screws holding top dash panel. Remove tube attached to brake reservoir. Disconnect electrical connections. Remove top dash panel.
Illustration 2.101-1873 Brake Reservoir(1)Bracket(2)and Washers(3).5. Remove previous brake reservoir and bracket.6. Attach 155-4259 Bracket around 101-1873 Brake Reservoir. Install additional washers so that bracket aligns with hole in dash. See Illustration 2.

Dash panel with existing hole for brake reservoir (A), marked position for new hole (B) and bracket screw hole (C). 7. Install the 101-1873 Brake Reservoir on dash panel. Mark the dash panel with black marker. Disassemble bracket and reservoir from dash panel. See Illustration 3.8. Cut the marked area on the dash panel.9. Reinstall brake reservoir and bracket. Check no interference occurs between cap and reservoir. If interference occurs recut dash panel to eliminate interference. Then reinstall brake reservoir and bracket.10. Install dash panel, brake tubing, and electrical connections and screws.11. Fill brake system with oil.12. Purge (bleed) brake system if necessary.
