TUBE AS-OIL GAUGE 2801385 - Caterpillar

1. Drain engine oil from crankcase. Remove the front crankcase guard and the left and right hand side panel assemblies.2. Remove tube assembly (1) from between oil cooler and oil pan. 3. Remove ring (4), seal (2) and gasket (3) from the tube assembly. 4. Remove elbow (5) from the bottom of the oil filter tube. 5. Remove seal (6) and gasket (7) from elbow. 6. Remove bolt (9) and adapter (8) from the oil pan. 7. Remove seal (10) and (11) from adapter. 8. Remove mounting bolts (12), oil pan (13) and gasket.Install Oil Pan
Put lubricant of the type to be sealed on all seals.1. Use clean grease to hold a new oil pan gasket in position on the cylinder block.2. Install two 3/8"-16 NC × 4 in. long guide bolts in the cylinder block. 3. Install oil pan (1) on the cylinder block. 4. Install seals (2) and (3) on adapter. 5. Install adapter (4) in oil pan. 6. Install seal (5) and gasket (6) on elbow. 7. Install elbow (7) in position between oil pan and oil filter group. 8. Install ring (9), seal (8) and gasket (10) on tube assembly. 9. Install tube assembly (11) between oil pan and oil cooler.10. Install side panels and the front crankcase guard.11. Fill crankcase to the specified oil level.
