Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chocks - Remove and Install".
Articulate the machine to one side in order to access the power train guard.

Position a suitable lift truck under the front section of the power train guard.

Remove seven bolts (1) and the washers that secure the front section of power train guard (2) to the engine end frame. Remove the front section of power train guard (2) from the engine end frame. The weight of the front section of power train guard (2) is 104 kg (229 lb).

Position a suitable lift truck under the rear section of the power train guard.

Remove ten bolts (3) and the washers that secure the rear section of power train guard (4) to the engine end frame. Remove the rear section of power train guard (4) from the engine end frame. The weight of the rear section of power train guard (4) is 172 kg (379 lb).Installation Procedure
Note: Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

Use a suitable lift truck to position the rear section of the power train guard under the engine end frame.

Install ten bolts (3) and the washers that secure the rear section of power train guard (4) to the frame. The weight of the rear section of power train guard (4) is 172 kg (379 lb).
