Position the harvester head in the vertical position. Wrap a chain around the head. This will prevent the head from falling if the tilt cylinders fail.
It is possible for the frame of the harvester head to fall when it is parked in the vertical position. To avoid personal injury or death and equipment damage, wrap a chain around one leg of the frame and one leg of the yoke. Secure the chain in an appropriate manner.
There are two bushings on each feed roller arm. The bushings are located on the pivot pins for the feed roller arms.

Disconnect the rod end of the feed roller arm cylinder from the feed roller arm. Remove bolt (1) and the washer. Remove pin (2) from cylinder rod. The cylinder can now be moved from the feed roller arm.

Loosen the four allen head screws (7) from locknut (6) .
Remove locknut (6). Use a 164-3171 Spanner Wrench in order to remove the locknut. If a spanner wrench is not available, a large washer may be used instead. Place the washer into the grooves of the locknut. Use an adjustable wrench in order to grasp the washer. Turn the locknut counterclockwise in order to remove the locknut.
Remove two thrust washers (5). Remove retainer (4). A M12 × 1.75 bolt may be threaded into the retainer. Pull the bolt in order to remove the retainer.
Remove steel ball (3). A magnetic tipped tool may be needed in order to remove the ball.

Clean the steel ball. Check the components for damage. Replace any damaged parts. The cam curve can be viewed from the opening for the steel ball. Pack the cam curve with 1P-0808 Multipurpose Grease. Apply the grease to the steel ball.

Install steel ball (3). Install retainer (4). The thrust washers (5) can now be installed. Ensure that thrust washers (5) are correctly positioned and ensure that thrust washers (5) have not slipped.
Install locknut (6) and tighten. Tighten the locknut.
Tighten the four allen head screws (7) .
