Communication is conducted on the Cat® data-link.The FMI 09 means that the AWD ECM is not receiving communication from the engine ECM on the Cat data-link circuit.A CID 0248 FMI 09 companion diagnostic code is activated when the CID 0590 FMI 09 diagnostic code is activated by the AWD ECM. CID 0248 FMI 09 indicates that the Cat data-link is involved.Note: CID 0248 FMI 09 is cleared when the CID 0590 FMI 09 diagnostic code is cleared.
