(15) Injector manifold Pressure reducing valve (7) reduces the pilot oil pressure proportionally to protect the lubrication pump. Pressure reducing valve (7) is factory set. The reduced pilot oil pressure operates lubrication pump (3).Lubrication pump (3) draws lubricant up a supply tube. When vent solenoid valve (5) is energized by the electronic control, lubrication pump (3) forces lubricant through lines to injectors (14).Injectors (14) meter the amount of lubricant to the lubrication point. When all injectors in the set have completed delivering lubricant, pressure in the line to the injectors will increase. When the pressure increases to approximately 18975 kPa (2750 psi), the lubricant pressure switch will activate and the electronic control will turn the pump off to complete the cycle.Pressure gauge (4) is installed in the pump discharge line and measures the system pressure.Filler filter (12) is in the manifold between grease filler fitting (13) and tank (11). This stops dirt particles in the lubricant from entering the system when it is being filled. Grease filler fitting (13) is used for the filling of tank (11) and it also stops the return of lubricant from the tank.Tank (11) is also fitted with check valve (2), breather (1) and overflow valve (10). When filling, air is dispelled from breather (1) until tank (11) is full and the lubricant reaches the top of the tank. The lubricant will push on check valve (2) and close it. This causes the pressure in the tank to rise and at approximately 34 kPa (5 psi), overflow valve (10) will open and discharge lubricant. This indicates the tank is full.Manual lubrication port (6) can be used to lubricate the system when there is a pump or electrical system failure. Remove the plug and install a grease fitting to this lubrication port.
