Lower the implement and retract the lift cylinders.
Operate the soil finisher for a short distance. Do not raise the implement. Stop the engine and set the parking brake.
Measure the depth of the sweeps on the center section, and measure the depth of the sweeps on each wing.Note: Measure the depth of the sweeps at the locations of the wheels on each section.

Use the adjusting wrench to adjust nuts (1) and (2) on adjusting screw (3) .Reference: Refer to illustration 4 for the storage location of the wrench.
Adjust the wings so that the depth of the sweeps on the wings match the depth of the sweeps on the center section.
Tighten the nuts on the adjusting screw and replace the adjusting wrench in the storage location.
Repeat steps 1 through step 3 in order to verify the adjustment. If necessary, repeat steps 1 through step 6 until the implement is level.Depth Adjustment for the Disc Gang
Personal injury or death could result from sudden implement movement. Lower the implement to the ground. Set the parking brake and stop engine before servicing the implement.
The depth of the disc gangs is controlled by either adjustment screws or optional hydraulic cylinders (if equipped).Make sure that you adjust all of the adjustment screws for the disc gangs the same amount. The optional hydraulic cylinders are connected in a circuit that will ensure even adjustment for each disc gang. The disc gangs will raise when the hydraulic cylinder or the adjustment screw is retracted.

The depth gauge allows the operator to observe the depth of the disc gangs from the tractor seat. The scale is calibrated in inches.Do not lower the discs too much. Only adjust the disc to the minimum allowable depth that is needed to cut the crop residue. Caution must be used to prevent excessive loading of the disc gangs.Excessive loading of the disc gangs can cause the following conditions:
Depth of the implement varies.
Out of level
The disc gangs will have less ability to absorb heavy shock loads when the discs strike rocks.Adjustment of the Scrapers for the Disc Blades
The scrapers for the disc must be adjusted individually. Step 2 and 3 describes the adjustment of a individual scraper.
Lower the implement to the ground. The shanks should be supporting the implement on the ground. Set the parking brake and stop the engine.

Loosen the nuts for U-bolt (1) that hold scraper (2) .
Adjust scraper (2) so that there is a gap of 3.18 mm (0.125 inch) between the scraper and blade (3) .Note: Scraper (2) can touch blade (3). Make sure that the scraper does not prevent the rotation of the disc gang. Excessive wear can be caused when the scraper contacts blade (3) .
Tighten U-bolt (1) and make sure that the scraper did not move.
If necessary, adjust the remaining scrapers.Adjustment of Gaps that are Between Disc Gangs
Note: Any adjustment made to one disc gang will affect the clearance between other disc gangs. The gap that is between the disc gangs can be adjusted.
