Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the telescoping cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Telescoping Cylinder - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses, and all tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and help keep contaminants from entering the hydraulic oil system.
Before proceeding with the removal procedure, make a note of the layout of all the hoses and tubes for the purpose of installation.

Disconnect tubes (2) from the bulkhead fittings on tray (1) .

Remove clamps (3) that secure tubes (2) to tray (1) .

Remove tubes (2) and the attached hoses (4) .
Disconnect tubes (2) from hoses (4) .

Repeat Step 3 to Step 6 for tubes (6) and hoses (5) .
