Remove bolts (1) and bolts (2). Use two people in order to remove guard assembly (3). The weight of guard assembly (3) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb). Note: Do not disconnect the ripper lines.

Disconnect harness assembly (5) and bracket (6).

Position suitable blocking in order to support guard assembly (8). The weight of guard assembly (8 ) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Remove bolts (9). Use two people in order to remove guard assembly (8).
Remove cover (10). Remove cover (11), O-ring seal, and suction screen.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto transmission and bevel gears (12). Apply slight tension to Tooling (A).
Remove bolts (13). Use Tooling (B) in order to separate transmission and bevel gears (12) from the frame.
Use Tooling (C) in order to support transmission and bevel gears (12). The weight of transmission and bevel gears (12) is approximately 816 kg (1800 lb). Remove Tooling (A).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to support the weight of ripper link (14). The weight of ripper link (14) is approximately 77 kg (170 lb). Remove bolt (15). Remove pin (16). Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device in order to secure ripper link (14) out of the way.

Install cover (9). Use Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device in order to slide transmission and bevel gears (12) on the transmission rails. Position the transmission end onto suitable blocking or allow the transmission end to rest on the ripper, if equipped. Note: Do not extract the transmission and bevel gear assembly beyond the rail stops.

Use Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove transmission and bevel gears (12). Use a suitable pry bar in order to balance transmission and bevel gears (12). The weight of transmission and bevel gears (12) is approximately 816 kg (1800 lb). Installation Procedure
Install transmission and bevel gears (12) in the reverse order of removal.
