Check Oil Level
1. Remove rotor drive belt guard cover (1). 2. Remove inspection plate (2).3. Align the check/fill plug with the access hole by rotating the rotor with the auxiliary rotor drive.4. Remove the check/fill plug with the tool provided with the machine. Add fluid as necessary.Check Oil Level (Alternate Method)
Remove cover (3).Remove the shaft and check the oil level. Fill to the bottom of the hole. Check for oil leakage past the O-ring and replace if necessary.Leg Barrels
Lubricate
Lubricate eight fittings with MPGM.Steering Linkage
Lubricate
Lubricate 24 fittings with MPGM.Tie Rods

Lubricate four fittings with MPGM.Engine Air System
Check Intake and Exhaust Systems
Intake air leaks allow dirt entry into the engine which greatly accelerates engine wear.
Check all clamps, bolts and ducting on the engine intake and exhaust systems. Make repairs as required to prevent leaks and to ensure air cleaners and mufflers are securely mounted.Tracks
Inspect
The pins and bushings in a dry joint can become very hot. It is possible to burn the fingers if there is more than brief contact with these components.
Follow these hints to extend the undercarriage life and to avoid excessive downtime.1. Check all track components for excessive wear.2. Do not hit the ends of the track pins with a sledge hammer to loosen the track joints.
Striking the end of a track pin will introduce a significant amount of end play into the track joint and can result in early failures.
Consult your Caterpillar dealer's Custom. Track Service expert upon detection of dry joints or leaks and/or for track inspection.Conveyors
Lubricate the Fittings
Wipe all fittings before lubricating. Lubricate one bearing fitting (1) on each side of the first stage conveyor tail pulley, only until resistance is felt. Lubricate two fittings (2) for the first stage conveyor head pulley, only until resistance is felt. Lubricate one bearing fitting (3) on each side of the second stage conveyor tail pulley, only until resistance is felt. Lubricate two fittings on the second stage conveyor head pulley. Lubricate fittings (4) and (5) for the conveyor upper support pivot bearings. Apply lubricant slowly until excess is observed.Upper Conveyor Support Swing Pivot

Check Lubricator Oil Level
The compressed air system contains air under high pressure. Stay clear of air escaping from the system to avoid possible personal injury.Discharge all air pressure from the system before adding oil
1. Maintain the oil level to the line on the side of the lubricator (but not above). Turn the bowl guard 90° counterclockwise to expose the oil level line.2. If the oil level is low, open valve (1) until all air is expelled from the tank.3. Remove fill cap (2) and add oil.4. Clean and install fill cap (2).5. Close valve (1).Check
