Information:
Adjust Tension/Tracking
Keeping the proper tension on the conveyor belts is important for long belt life as well as for proper conveyor operation. The conveyor belts will naturally stretch with normal use. Adjust the belts with small corrections, checking the operation with each adustment. The lower conveyor will have a small amount of sag.Adjust Upper Conveyor Tension/Tracking
Adjust the head pulley prior to adjustment for the other tensioners.1. Loosen locknut (1) and turn adjusting screw (2) to get the desired belt tension. If the belt is tracking properly, adjust both sides the same amount at the same time.2. If the belt is not tracking properly, tighten the tension on the side that the belt is tracking towards. Remember that the belt will track towards the side that is loose. Use the tail pulley adjustment screw to improve the tracking of the upper conveyor belt. Use this adjustment after the head pulley adjustment has been performed.3. Loosen locknut (3). If the belt is not tracking properly, tighten the tension on the side that the belt is tracking towards using adjusting screw (4). Remember that the belt will track towards the side that is loose.4. Repeat the adjustment at both ends of the upper conveyor belt, if needed.Adjust Lower Conveyor Tension/Tracking
1. Loosen locknut (1). Turn adjusting locknut (2) to slide the motor mounting blocks to get the desired belt tension. If the belt is tracking properly, adjust both sides the same amount at the same time.2. If the belt is not tracking properly, tighten the tension on the side that the belt is tracking towards. Remember that the belt will track towards the side that is loose.
