parking brake limit switch tells the control when the operator has the parking brake engaged. The control then enables the parking brake function. The parking brake limit switch is a double-pole single-throw limit switch. When the operator places the parking brake knob in the ON position, this tells the control that the knob is in the ON position. When the parking brake knob is in the OFF position, this tells the control that the circuit for the parking brake limit switch is operating correctly and no action is required.A drive-through mode is provided if both the following conditions exist:
A hydraulic system failure exists.
The pressure oil that releases the parking brake is not available.If there is a hydraulic system failure, then the parking brake knob pops out. The parking brake knob will stay in the ON position.To move the machine under these conditions, perform the following steps:
Select first speed forward or first speed reverse.
Press the parking brake knob and hold the parking brake knob in the OFF position.
Increase the engine speed so that the machine will drive through the engaged parking brake.Note: The CMS will activate a warning category of three during this period of time .
