Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Connect Cat®ET to the service tool connector.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Select the appropriate ECM from the list in Cat®ET.
You are on the main menu. Select the "Service Configuration" menu item. Double click to select the appropriate sales model.
Select a sales model.Note: After selecting the correct sales model, Cat®ET will exit out of the configuration menu.
Cycle power with the key start switch. Leave the key start switch in the OFF position for a minimum of 10 seconds.
With the key start switch returned to the ON position, Cat®ET will initiate communications with all ECM modules on the machine.
Select the ECM.
From the main menu, select the "Service Configuration" menu item.
Click on the "Data Link Disconnect" button.
Disconnect Cat®ET from the service tool connector.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Connect Cat®ET to the service tool connector.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Select the appropriate ECM from the list in Cat®ET.
