The Separate Circuit Aftercooler (SCAC) vent line on certain PM units may be plumbed incorrectly. The vent line may be directly connected to the throttle actuator bearing housing. Overflowed coolant may solidify inside the bearing housing and cause damage to lip seal and bearing.Solution

(A) Port on the throttle actuator bearing housing
(1) Plug
(2) O-ring sealReplumb the SCAC vent.
Drain sufficient amount of coolant to allow disconnecting the vent lines. Collect this coolant and refill the system when finished.
Disconnect the vent line from the fittings and the adaptor in port (A).
Remove the fittings and the adaptor from port (A).
Remove plug (1) and O-ring seal (2) from the coolant line connection next to the throttle actuator bearing housing.
Install the original fittings and the adaptor into the coolant line connection next to the throttle actuator bearing housing and reattach the vent line.
Install the original plug (1) and O-ring seal (2) into port (A).
