Information:
General
Operate the engine at full rpm for maximum steering and propel control response. Operation below full throttle will slow turning rate or propel system response. When climbing steep grades, the propulsion control lever must be moved SLOWLY to avoid engine stall and possible loss of machine control.
Release secondary/parking brake before operating machine. Failure to release before operating will damage secondary/parking brake and could result in a runaway machine. If the light in the brake button does not go off when the brake button is pulled out the brake may not be released. Move the steering wheel slightly to activate the brake valve and if the light remains ON do not operate the machine.Obtain desired travel speed before engaging the vibratory system.Do not operate vibratory system at less than 1400 vpm.Avoid using the leveling blade as plow or digging device. Machine damage may occur.
Vibratory Operation High Amplitude
Placing vibratory system in high amplitude increases height of drum movement on each vibration cycle.High amplitude is used whenever:There is fresh material to be compacted. The lift, or depth of material to be compacted, is normal to deep. 1. Place vibratory system in high amplitude by swiftly moving the vibratory control lever all the way forward.2. If vpm less than 1800 is required, slowly move the vibratory control lever back until desired vpm is obtained. Do not go below 1400 vpm.3. Shut off vibratory system by moving vibratory control lever back to OFF.Vibratory System Low Amplitude
Placing vibratory system in low amplitude reduces height of drum movement on each vibration cycle.Low amplitude is used whenever:Material to be compacted is semi-compacted or machine vibration is erratic when in high amplitude. The lift, or depth of material to be compacted, is shallow. 1. Place vibratory system in low amplitude be moving the vibratory control lever all the way back. To insure complete weight shift the vibratory control lever must be swiftly moved all the way back.2. If vpm less than 1800 is required, slowly move the vibratory control lever forward until desired vpm is reached.3. Shut off the vibratory system by moving the vibratory control lever to off.
