This diagnostic code is recorded when the Machine ECM determines that the signal for the tilt lever position sensor is too low. The tilt lever position sensor is a PWM sensor.The possible causes for this diagnostic code are listed:
The tilt lever sensor needs to be calibrated.Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diagnostic codes and clear these diagnostic codes when the original diagnostic code has been corrected. Ensure that the diagnostic code of CID 0353 FMI 01 is active before performing this procedure.Test Step 1. PERFORM THE CALIBRATION.Recalibrate the lever position sensor. For 953D, refer to Testing and Adjusting, KENR5177, "Calibration". For 963D, refer to Testing and Adjusting, KENR6377, "Calibration". For 973D, refer to Testing and Adjusting, KENR6528, "Calibration".Expected Result:A successful calibration causes this diagnostic code to become inactive. Results:
YES - The calibration causes this diagnostic code to become inactive. Resume normal machine operation.STOP
NO - The calibration has not caused the diagnostic code to become inactive.Repair: Perform the calibration again. If the calibration does not correct the problem, replace the lever.STOP
