Remove plug (13) and O-ring seal (12) from clutch housing (9), if necessary.

Use Tooling (C) to remove retaining ring (14) in order to release clutch manifold (15) .

Remove clutch manifold (15) from the shaft. Remove seal rings (15A) from the clutch manifold.

Remove friction disc (16) from clutch piston (17) .

Use Tooling (D) and a press to compress the springs under clutch piston (17). Use Tooling (C) to remove retaining ring (18) in order to release the clutch piston. Slowly release the pressure on the clutch piston and remove the unit from the press.

Remove clutch piston (17) .

Remove ten springs (19) from the clutch hub.

Remove the following parts from clutch hub (23) as a unit: shaft assembly (7), clutch hub (22), friction discs (21), the clutch plates and clutch pressure plate (24) .

Remove friction disc (21) and clutch plate (25). Remove the remaining friction discs and clutch plates from the clutch pressure plate.Note: Six clutch plates and seven friction discs are located on the clutch pressure plate.

Remove clutch pressure plate (24) from clutch hub (22). Remove the clutch hub from the shaft assembly.

Remove retaining ring (26) from the clutch hub, if necessary.

Place the clutch hub in this position and remove retaining ring (27) from the clutch hub, if necessary. Use Tooling (C) to remove the retaining ring .
