Measure ripper cylinder rod drift by using the following procedure:
Check hydraulic oil temperature.
Lift the ripper to maximum height and move the ripper control lever to the HOLD position. Stop the engine.
Obtain a measurement of the distance of cylinder drift over time. Compare the values to the values in Table 3. Note: The drift distances in Table 3 are for new machines.

Measure cylinder rod drift for the multipurpose bucket by using the following procedure.
Check hydraulic oil temperature.
Activate the tilt circuit. Wait until the bucket reaches the full TILT BACK position.
Move the tilt control lever to the HOLD position.
Move the roller for the multipurpose bucket to the OPEN position. Keep the lever in the OPEN position until there is approximately 609 mm (24.0 inch) between the arm assembly and the bowl assembly. Stop the engine.
Obtain a measurement of the distance of cylinder drift over time. Compare the values to the values in Table 4. Note: The drift distances in Table 4 are for new machines.

The oil in the system must be the oil which is recommended in Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine, and the oil must be at a temperature of 65° 3°C (149° 5°F). All speed tests should be made with the engine speed at HIGH IDLE.Identify the speed of each cylinder. Compare these values to the values in the following tables. Equal values indicate normal circuit operation.If the speed of a cylinder is too slow, check that circuit for cylinder drift.
