These hose assemblies may be slightly longer than necessary and should be cut to length as required. To reduce the length of a particular hose assembly, disconnect the hose from the lower end of the bulkhead and remove the fitting. Cut off any excess hose.3. Before installing the fitting back on the hose, determine the correct size of wire armor guard according to Charts A and B. Wrap each hose assembly with the armor guard, starting with the fitting next to lower bulkhead union (11), and up to clamp (1). Clamp (1) is bolted to bracket (2) which is located on the rear side of the operator's platform. Use of flat armor guard is not recommended, as it can be damaged by trees and other debris. If flat armor guard wrap is used and becomes damaged, the armor guard could then cut into the hose material.The following chart shows the new and former hose assemblies which are used on both the right and left sides of the machine. Chart A is arranged to show the hose assemblies as they are positioned in the clamps, and looking from the top of the machine, down. It also provides additional information for the affected hose assemblies.
It is possible to fabricate the hose assemblies shown in Chart A. See Chart A for the appropriate quantity and part number of the hose assembly to be fabricated, and Chart B for the requirements for each hose assembly. To fabricate the 107-1028 Hose Assembly, see Chart B and Illustrations 8 and 9.
4. Position the hose assemblies in clamp (1) so there is approximately 6.0 to 10.0 mm (.24 to .39 in) of clearance between the wire armor guard wrap and clamp (1). Procedure To Reposition The Composite Clamp Blocks To A Vertical Position

Locate dimensions (A) and (B), and drill one 10.50 +0.30 -0.10 mm (.410 +.012 -.004 in) diameter through hole. Deburr the new hole.4. After the hose assemblies have been reworked as necessary, and the hose guard material installed on each, position the hose assemblies in bracket (2).5. Move clamp (1) into place, and install bolt (12) and its washer and nut. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft). Procedure To Decrease The Height Of The Hose Assembly Supports
In addition to the hose and clamp changes, two support blocks need to be fabricated and installed under each "stirrup".
Previously, these support blocks were approximately 75 mm (3 in) tall. However, the height of the support block has been changed to reduce the chance of potential interference between the frame and the hose
