Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Open access door (8) on the right side of the machine.

Remove cap from port "G" (9) on the right tow point control valve. Install Tool (B) on tap (9) .
Assemble Tool (B). Connect Tool (A) to Tool (B) .
Move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch actuation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Read pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 13800 175 kPa (2000 25 psi).
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
If the pressure is within the specified range, go to Step 25. If the pressure is outside the specified range, go to Step 22.

Use a 4mm hex wrench in order to loosen set screw (11) on the pump control valve.
Use a 6mm hex wrench in order to manipulate adjustment screw (10). Rotate the adjustment screw clockwise in order to increase the pressure. Rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure.Note: One revolution of adjustment screw (10) changes the pressure by approximately 2400 kPa (350 psi).
Hold adjustment screw (10) in place. Tighten set screw (11). Go back to Step 14.
Remove the tooling. Close access door (8).
