Disconnect hose assembly (1) and tube assembly (3).
Remove nuts (4) and remove turbocharger (2).
Illustration 2 g02547424Note: Loosen both V-band clamp nuts only enough to allow the housing to rotate. Excessive loosening of the housing will cause contact. Possible damage to the wheel may occur.Note: Note the orientation of each V-band clamp for installation purposes.
Carefully remove and discard V-band clamps (5) and (6). Installation Procedure
Note: Put clean engine oil in the oil inlet of the turbocharger after assembly or before installation to provide lubrication during start-up and during storage.
Install turbocharger (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten V-Band clamp (5) to a torque of 13.6 1.2 N m (120 11 lb in).
Tighten V-Band clamp (10) to a torque of 18 N m (159 lb in). Loosen the nut 1 to 2 turns. Retighten to a torque of 13.6 1.2 N m (120 11 lb in).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads and mating surface of nuts (8). Tighten to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
