Note: Thoroughly clean all parts and inspect the condition of all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Replace the inner piston seal and the outer piston seal with new seals.Note: If the thrust washer was not removed, start with Step 5. If the thrust washer was removed, start with Step 1. Use a new thrust washer and screws.

Thoroughly remove the adhesive from the mounting surface of brake housing (2).
Thoroughly clean the contact surface of the new thrust washer and the mounting surface of brake housing (2). Both surfaces must be clean and dry before you proceed to the next step.
Apply Tooling (C) to the mounting surface of brake housing (2).
Install a new thrust washer (12) and new screws (13).

Install seal (11) in the brake housing. Lubricate seal (11) with the oil that is being sealed.

Install seal (10) in the brake housing. Lubricate seal (10) with the oil that is being sealed.

Apply a thin coat of clean hydraulic oil to piston (9). Install piston (9) in the brake housing. Align the guide holes of the piston with the guide holes in the brake housing, as shown.

Install guides (8) and springs (7).

Install Tooling (B) on brake housing (2). The large plate is installed under the springs.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Use Tooling (B) in order to compress the springs. Install pins (6) in the guides.
Release the spring tension and remove Tooling (B).

Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (5) on hub (4).

Apply clean final drive oil on the thrust washer. Install hub (4) in the brake housing.

Apply clean final drive oil on plates (1) and on friction discs (3).
Install plates (1) and friction discs (3) in brake housing (2) in alternating order. Start with a plate (1). End By:
Connect the final drive and the wheel to the service brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive and Wheel to Service Brake - Connect".
