Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (1). The weight of cab (1) is approximately 290 kg (640 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to raise cab (1) enough to fully extend gas spring (2).
Remove lock pin (5) in order to remove pin (3) and spacer (4) from gas spring (2).

Remove lock pin (8) in order to remove pin (6) and spacer (7) from gas spring (2). Remove gas spring (2) from the machine.

Use Tooling (C) and the suitable lifting device in order to lower cab (1) and position gas spring (9). Install pin (11) and lock pin (10).
