In order to prevent personal injury from accidental screed movement, lock the screed in the RAISED position by using the service lock lever in order to extend the lock pins, after the screed is fully raised.

Screed service lock pin in the storage position
There are two screed service lock pins on the machine. The pins are located on either side of the machine. The locks are used in order to hold the screed in a raised position for service.
Raise the screed to a position that is high enough to extend the lock pins.

Use the service lock pin levers in order to move the pins to the fullest extension.
Lower the screed onto the lock pins. When you operate the machine, keep the screed service lock pins in the storage position.
