See the article that follows:Description of Change: New crankshaft seal assemblies and a new crankshaft wear sleeve are used in the crankshaft seal groups on these engines. The use of the new crankshaft seal assemblies with the new crankshaft wear sleeve will provide improved sealing capability.Adaptable To: The new 190-2462 Seal (CW Rotation) replaces the former 9Y-7624 Seal (CW Rotation). The new 190-2463 Seal (CCW Rotation) replaces the former 9Y-7625 Seal (CCW Rotation). The former seals are cancelled. The new 160-8173 Wear Sleeve replaces the former 121-3352 Wear Sleeve. The mixed use of new parts and former parts is not recommended. However in an emergency situation, the new seal could be used with a former wear sleeve. This would work but the life of the seal would be limited.A new 200-5958 Wear Sleeve Installer is available to install the new 160-8173 Wear Sleeve.
