Remove Tooling (F) . Apply Tooling (M) to the threads of bolts (17) . Install bolts (17) .
Tighten bolts (17) to a torque of 900 100 N m (664 74 lb ft).

Remove Tooling (E) and Tooling (G) from between the main frame of machine (14) and the frame undercarriage assembly (15) .

Connect hose assemblies (10) . Connect bracket (11) , retaining ring (12) , and clamp (13) .

Fill the hydraulic oil system. Operation and Maintenance Manual , "Hydraulic system oil - Change".

Remove bolts (6) and plate (7) . Remove Tooling (B) . Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (8) . Install boom cylinder . Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom Cylinder - Install". Remove Tooling (J) .

Drain the oil from each final drive into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Final Drive Oil - Change"

Remove two bolts (1) . Attach Tooling (H) in order to hold the planetary gear assembly from falling. Remove remaining bolts (1) from cover assembly (2) .

Use Tooling (A) to remove cover assembly (2) . Make sure that the planetary assembly does not slide outward when cover assembly (2) is being removed. This will keep contamination out of the planetary gears.

The planetary gear group is being held onto the sprocket housing at this time only by Tooling (H ) . The approximate weight of the planetary group is 163 kg (360 lb). Be careful not to allow the planetary gear group to slide outward.
Install ring gear (4) into cover assembly (2) . Install bolts (3) .

Apply Tooling (K) onto cover assembly (2) . Install cover assembly (2) onto the final drive. Install bolts (1) . Remove Tooling (H) . Install remaining bolts (1) . Tighten the bolts (1) to a torque of 900 N m (664 lb ft) .
Fill final drive with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Final Drive - Oil Change".End By: Install bucket.
