Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the exhaust extension. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Extension - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Loosen clamp (1) from hose (2) .
Slide hose (2) off muffler (3) .
Remove bolts (4) from bracket (5) .

Remove bolts (7) from bracket (8) .
Remove muffler (3) from turbocharger (6) and from the engine compartment.Installation Procedure

Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to muffler (3) in the following locations: point of contact of turbocharger (6) and bracket (8) .
Install bolts (7) in order to hold muffler (3) to bracket (8) .

Install bolts (4) into bracket (5) in order to hold muffler (3) to bracket (5) .
Use the adjusting slots in bracket (5) in order to position the muffler assembly. This will allow the turbocharger coupling to be rotated by hand after all the bolts are tightened.
Slide hose (2) onto muffler (3). Tighten clamp (1) on hose (2) .End By: Install the exhaust extension. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Extension - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Remove bolts (4) from bracket (5) .

Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to muffler (3) in the following locations: point of contact of turbocharger (6) and bracket (8) .
Install bolts (7) in order to hold muffler (3) to bracket (8) .

Install bolts (4) into bracket (5) in order to hold muffler (3) to bracket (5) .
